For Freestyle – Since 15 years. QParks is the brand for those who love spending their winter day in the air, on a rail or on a box as much as in the snow. However, freestyle shouldn’t be exclusive to a handful of daredevils. From beginner-friendly Familyparks to areas that meet the needs of the pros – QParks are the ideal playgrounds for all freestyle fans. “For Freestyle” also means converting this common passion for the sport into events and photo and film productions for the shredding community.

Equipped with a camcorder, shovels and boozy tea, four fanatic snowboarders started to not only build their first kickers in the 90s but also the foundation of QParks. Over time, their obstacles became ever more professional. And during a time when Freestyle was at best tolerated, they already tried convincing ski resorts to follow their idea of offering QParks as playgrounds for the youth. 20 years later, 45 facilities and thousands of happy riders prove that the four were absolutely right.

With their QParks, Young Mountain doesn’t just offer Quality Parks that meet the highest standards in fun and safety. Under the name QParks, Young Mountain Marketing creates, organizes and executes action packed events like the QParks Tour, the Girls Shred Sessions or the Shred Poker. A team of online-marketing-professionals, editors, graphic designers, filmmakers, photographers and programmers takes care of the events’ and the whole facilities’ communication with target-group-oriented social media and content marketing measures.

Efficient and resource-saving – Working with Leica iCON alpine & Trizon/Trigonos, SNOWsat as well as ARENA slope management, Young Mountain is leading the way towards an optimized realization of their QParks. Besides the systematic training of the snowcat operators of the Shape Academy, one essential part is digital facility planning. 

Using a digital, inch-perfect model of the basic terrain and the snow situation, a detailed plan is worked out beforehand and executed during the winter season. That reduces the distances driven with the snowcat and cuts the amount of snow needed. Furthermore, it helps to perfectly implement the respective facility according to plan. 

Your Fun Ride. A day on the mountain is a good day. And the more exciting the ski trip, the better. This is where Funslopes come into play. The special trails are designed solely to turn the day of skiing into a snow adventure. This is ensured by mysterious tunnels, impressive Fun Twisters, various sound elements and of course Slopy, the cheeky Funslopes mascot. Funslopes are a completely new experience for each and every guest: young or old, beginner or professional. They are “Fun for Everyone”, it´s as easy as that.

Funslopes are the result of a desire to make the mountains younger, more colorful and more family-friendly. It began as a heart project of Young Mountain, but quickly turned into an international success! Today, years after the first Funslope snaked through the terrain of a ski resort, we count over 60 projects in five different countries! But we do not want to rest on our laurels. In fact, we still work on new features and ideas for our Funslopes all over Europe, in order to offer our guests an unforgettable snow adventure!

Fun for young and old, beginners or advanced riders, family or single-carver. Funslopes are really suitable for every ski guest and bring fun to any ski resort. Funslopes are built by the professionals of the Shape Academy and are now indispensable in the ski areas! The obstacles and elements can be customized on request and adapted to the ski resort's corporate identity. With the great variety of features in our Funslopes, any transit is an adventure for itself. In addition, a variety of events and shootings can be performed in Funslopes.

Go for the Flow! The Funcross is the action-packed alternative to the conventional slope and offers skiers and snowboarders a racing experience, that was only available for professional riders before. The challenging but still safely built track is the only suitable place to go for the flow and to bring back some adrenaline in your day on the mountain. Skeptical? Trust us - our banked turns, jumps and waves will do the trick. Combined with your fastest carving turns and your most compact racing position, of course. Are you ready to race?

Summer 2017. A winter season full of events such as the Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz or the Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada even left its mark at the pros from young mountain marketing. They got the taste of racing and decided to create a new brand: Funcross. Before that, hobby skiers and snowboarders had no chance experience authentic racing fun. But that changed when the first Funcross opened in winter 2017/18 and became an important part of the Fun Mountain. Now, racing action is guaranteed at every skiing day!

Snow waves, jumps, banked turns. The Funcross brings the flow in every skiing resort. It´s the place where hobby skiers and snowboarders can get a dose of action without having to rush over icy slopes or unclear transitions. The facility is designed, built and maintained under the highest quality and safety standards of the Shape Academy. In addition to the everyday racing fun, there are some event formats, such as the Funcross Race, which make a skiing day an unforgettable experience. Who is looking for the flow, will find the Funcross!

Gigantic snowfun. With its Snowcastles, Young Mountain creates breathtaking attractions for guests who are not skiing (yet). Sky-high towers, imposing walls and majestic battlements all made from snow - these buildings represent true highlights at your ski area! Snowcastles are not only an exciting eyecatcher, they also promise thrill and offer variety to all junior guests. No matter if Sir Lancelot or Rapunzel – all toddlers can find their personal adventure there.

The brand Snowcastles is the newest member of the Young Mountain Family. These snowy playgrounds were called into existence especially for non-skiers. This way, the Fun Mountain now also serves this guest segment. After careful consideration and detailed planning by the professionals from the Shape Academy, the first Snowcastles were built in winter 2018/19. Thousands of joyful playing kids and happy parents speak for themselves. The Young Mountain is already excited for the upcoming seasons filled with gigantic snow fun.

Snowcastles are designed for kids between 2 and 12 years of age, because after all, these buildings are in their core playgrounds made of snow. Their impressive dimensions create inevitably an eye-catching effect among all guests. Yet, Snowcastles especially represent a wonderful offer to non-skiers as they can be experienced by foot. It’s moreover the ideal spot for everyone who’s looking for a break and diversion from skiing. Various event and photo shooting formats at a Snowcastle may complement the daily snow fun.

Fun Mountain Playgrounds are individually planned snow playgrounds. As far as the playful experience is concerned, they offer everything that can also be found in the impressive big brother - the Snowcastle: crawling tunnels, slides, igloo and much more!

Compared to the Snowcastles, our snow playgrounds only make concessions in terms of imposing - which in turn is positively reflected in the greatly reduced effort.

Unlike other Fun Mountain components (except Snowcastles), our Playgrounds are an offering for non-skiers, you experience them on foot. Like Snowcastles, they are a great offering for those who want to get to the ski area and up the mountain, but want to be entertained there away from the normal skiing. Or for those who are looking for a break from skiing and a change of pace - for example, as a break offer for ski courses.

In size and details of the elements our snow playgrounds are individually designable and can be perfectly adapted to the respective local conditions. Technically, we have reduced the requirements to such an extent that construction and supervision can be managed with the usual work equipment of a ski resort (snow grooming equipment, cutters).
